2019 Finer Womanhood Scholarship Luncheon: Celebrating The Finer Woman In You
The Chi Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. recognized it’s Finer Womanhood Luncheon Awardees on February 23, 2019.
Community Service Award
The community service award is given to an individual or an organization making a significant service contribution to the community that advances one or some of the thrusts or initiatives of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. Extra consideration is given to "grass roots level" nominees.
The Finer Womanhood Award
The Finer Womanhood Awardee must have made an outstanding contribution to the community, preferably in an area identified by Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. as a programmatic thrust or initiative. This award may only be given one in a lifetime.
Chelsea Branham was selected to receive this award for her dedication to the community. She has worked hard to ensure that Oklahomans of all races are represented well in the political system.
Zeta of the Year Award
The Zeta of the Year Award is given for outstanding service and or contribution to advance the sorority during the twelve (12) months preceding to a member who exhibits sisterly love while accomplishing great things.
Thais Goodwin was selected to receive this prestigious award for her dedication and sisterly service within the Chi Zeta Chapter and beyond over the last 12 months.
2018 Finer Womanhood Scholarship Luncheon: Celebrating Excellence The Zeta Way
The Chi Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. recognized it’s Finer Womanhood Scholarship Luncheon Awardees on March 10, 2018.
Community Service Award
The community service award is given to an individual or an organization making a significant service contribution to the community that advances one or some of the thrusts or initiatives of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. Extra consideration is given to "grass roots level" nominees.
This year the Chi Zeta Community Service Awardee is a grass roots organization which has taken Oklahoma City by storm. The organization is the brainchild of one woman who saw a need in the community, her initial goal was to help reach the Oklahoma City Metropolitan but her impact has helped thousands in terms of volunteers and donations. The reach of her organization has surpassed her dreams. The Chi Zeta Chapter is pleased to recognize the work of Sox of Love and its founder Tamara Nelson-Omondi with the Community Service Award. Sox of Love provides socks to men, women and children of all ages from all walks of life. From the homeless to children in foster care there isn’t a need too big that Sox of Love isn’t willing to fulfill.

This year the Chi Zeta Finer Womanhood Award recipient is a woman who uses her voice and her image in her profession. She is a servant leader within the community.
The Chi Zeta Chapter is pleased to recognize Nikki Nice with the Finer Womanhood Award for her advocacy and tireless energy. Nikki is a moderator, emcee, on-air personality and a community activist. She is currently a co host of The Open Mic Talk Show which airs Monday through Friday 9am until 11am and can be heard In Oklahoma City, Lawton/Ft.Sill and Tulsa and hosts the “Nice Takeover” Monday - Friday on Power 103.5. Nikki also fills in co hosting for Lifestyle/ Entertainment show “Living Oklahoma” that airs weekday mornings at 9am on KOKH-Fox 25. Some of Ms. Nice’s community activities include: One Church One Child Scholarship Committee, Leadership Oklahoma City Class 35, Board Serve Class One Member for United Way, HeartLine Executive Board Member (Secretary), Special Friends of Ralph Ellison Library (Secretary), NE Task Force Member for OKCPS, Guiding Right, Inc. Community Action Board Member.
Zeta of the Year Award
The Zeta of the Year Award is given for outstanding service and or contribution to advance the sorority during the twelve (12) months preceding to a member who exhibits sisterly love while accomplishing great things.
This year the Chi Zeta Zeta of the Year Award is presented to a woman of faith, a mother, a graceful motivator, and a gentle spirit. Without hesitation this member leads the chapter’s effort to recruit, retain, and reclaim members across the state. In addition, she advises the Archonettes, and leads the Stork’s Programs on the regional level. In the past 12 months she has contributed greatly to the elevation of the sisterhood. The Chi Zeta Chapter is pleased to recognize Kamisha Busby as the Zeta of the Year for her dedication to the sisterhood.
