Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. is honored to have formed many wonderful community-based partnerships over the past 97 years. Whether administering our Z-HOPE program or giving financial assistance through our National Education Foundation, we do so with the understanding that service to the community is our greatest legacy.
The weekend of December 13, 2019 the Chi Zeta Chapter was busy with Service. Chapter members Participated in Wreaths Across America, collected toys for children identified by the Urban League, and prepared Christmas for needy youth at Santa’s Cause.
On August 28, 2018 Members of the Chi Zeta Chapter made good on our promise to vote.
On August 26, 2018, Members of the Chi Zeta Chapter were invited to worship at The Christ Experience and stuff essential bags for the homeless. We were willing workers, faith in action.
The Chi Zeta Chapter is pleased to support the March of Dimes. Our members support the MOD, Kamisha Busby through her board service and Marcella Morgan through her volunteer efforts. The Sports Headliner Banquet held on August 23, 2018 was a huge success.
From August 16-19, 2018 Members of the Chi Zeta Chapter proudly engaged in events to remember the OKC sit-in Movement and the strength of Clara Luper a dearly departed member of the Chi Zeta Chapter.

For months the Chi Zeta Chapter has challenged the Oklahoma City Community to register to vote. The Primary was on June 26th and we were there. Some members used absentee ballots. One member offered rides to the polls. Our next step is to get ready for the general election on November 6, 2018.
On June 24, 2018 members of The Chi Zeta Chapter volunteered with Sox of Love, Inc. at the Wesley United Methodist Church - OKC.

The Chi Zeta Chapter accompanied the Archonette Club into the Wild. We visited the Wichita Mountains National Wildlife Refuge. We went on a wildflower walk and communed with nature and one another. #ZetaDaysUSFWS
The Chi Zeta Chapter found a few innovative ways to raise money for the March of Dimes. Crafting for Babies and Bowling for Babies with our Brothers, the men of Delta Beta Sigma Chapter.
Marcella Morgan, a member of The Chi Zeta Chapter, and Nicole Harris, a member of Zeta Phi Beta volunteered with the March of Dimes to help prepare for the May 5, 2018 March for Babies.
The Chi Zeta Chapter continues to learn about our political system through our campaign to increase voter registration and attending legislative forums.
Members of the Chi Zeta Chapter help to keep our city clean. We can be seen on city streets making our communities beautiful.
While the Oklahoma Public Schools have been out the Chi Zeta Chapter started the Archonette Academy as a method to keep the Chi Zeta Archonettes engaged as well as other teens.
On March 27, 2018, members of the Chi Zeta Chapter and a Chi Zeta Archonette did a bit of community service. We encouraged voter registration during a community forum. #ZetasGetEngaged
On March 25, 2018, members of the Chi Zeta Chapter volunteered to stuff Easter Eggs for the United Way. We were joined by a few of the Chi Zeta Archonettes. Together we stuffed about 3,000 eggs.
On March 24, 2018, members of the Chi Zeta Chapter and the Chi Zeta Archonettes worked at the Stork’s Nest. There was lots of cleaning, sorting, and teamwork.
During the 76th Annual Midwestern Regional Leadership Conference the Chi Zeta Chapter contributed items to the newest Stork’s Nest in Nebraska. The Chapter received awards for community service.
On March 14, 2018, members of the Chi Zeta Chapter headed to OU’s campus. We passed out waters, snacks, notes of encouragement, and reminders to register to vote.
On March 11, 2018, members of the Chi Zeta and Xi Nu Zeta Chapters attended a Joint worship service at the Allen Chapel in celebration of their Greek Day.
On March 9, 2018, members of the Chi Zeta Chapter donated money to the Foundation for Oklahoma City Public Schools to fully fund two projects for Thelma Parks Elementary School. The first project will enable the school to transport students to the zoo in April. The second project will enable to school to purchase prize items for students “Caught Being Good.”
On March 7, 2018, members of the Chi Zeta Chapter attended the OU Board of Regents Meeting. We joined community leaders and the Luper family in celebrating the naming of the Clara Luper Department of African and African American Studies Department. A life well lived and a powerful legacy was recognized.
On February 24, 2018, the Chi Zeta Chapter volunteered at the Friends of the Metropolitan Library Booksale.
On February 23, 2018, the Chi Zeta Chapter celebrated Black History Month on Tinker Air Force Base. It was an awesome inaugural event and we did Zeta Proud. #ChiZetaProud
On February 17, 2018, members of the Chi Zeta Chapter traveled to Lawton to support Zeta Epsilon Zeta as they hosted the 38th Annual Black Heritage Banquet. Job well done! #ChiZetaProud
February 2, 2018, Women Across the nation wore red to bring awareness to Heart Health. With respect to African American women Here are a few unsettling stats:
- Cardiovascular diseases kill nearly 50,000 African-American women annually.
- Of African-American women ages 20 and older, 49 percent have heart diseases.
- Only 1 in 5 African-American women believes she is personally at risk.
- Only 52 percent of African-American women are aware of the signs and symptoms of a heart attack.
- Only 36 percent of African-American women know that heart disease is their greatest health risk.
January 28, 2018 membersof the Chi Zeta chapter visited residents of the Grace Living Center and volunteered at the Sox of Love 2nd Birthday Party.

December 19, 2017 the Chi Zeta Chapter participated with Santa’s Cause. We wrapped toys to bring Christmas to those in need.
December 16, 2017 the Chi Zeta Chapter celebtated our Charter Day, December 12, 1936, made care baskets, and collected toys for donation to a children’s shelter.
December 16, 2017 for National Wreaths Across America Chi Zeta and Xi Nu Zeta placed wreaths at the Sunnylane Cemetery.
November 17, 2017 was National Prematurity Awarness Day. The Chi Zeta Chapter flooded social media, and worshiped with friends at the 5th Street Baptist Church in Oklahoma City.
On November 11th, Veterans’ Day, we held a toiletry / supply drive and wrote notes of thanks and encouragement to service members. We collected 275 items in the effort.
